October 29, 2019

Our day was very full and fun! We learned about how we can take care of our senses! We're experts on the five senses now.

We also started writing spooky stories - we're authors!

Our class is practicing counting by 2s. If you could practice at home too - that would be great!!

I hope everyone has a great night.

P.S. Friday there is no school for professional development.

Good afternoon!
Today we had a fantastic day learning so many different things.
We're doing Word Work and practicing reading and writing during Guided Reading! In math, we practiced identifying 2D shapes and identifying their attributes (sides and vertices). We wrote about our weekend and drew matching pictures. In science inquiry today we continued to learn about our senses and focused on the sense of sight. We learned that people use braille to help them read when they are blind. We tried to make our own version of braille and read a braille book too.

Good afternoon,
We had such a fun first day of October. Each day we count the days of school during calendar and today we made 19 tally marks because we have been to school for 19 days already! Hurrah.
We have been practicing our math skills and making patterns in Pattern Centers! We work on sharing and using nice words to our classroom community members during our centers.
Here are some photos of what we have been doing in math.

Our new Words of the Week are: me, we, went, play, day!
Thanks so much for your help with Home Reading.

Have a great night.
